Commonly referred to as a "casserie," this facility is dedicated to the extraction of hazelnuts, where the shell is separated from the nut to recover the inside before it is sent to chocolateries. The estate was acquired in 2015 by a renowned French chocolatier. Founded in 1871, the SCHAAL house is a historic reference in the production of French chocolate. In 1967, the BURRUS family, chocolatiers since 1912, took over this artisanal factory, continuing the tradition while expanding its horizons. Over time, the house has become a benchmark brand, committed to values of authenticity, taste exploration, and generosity (cultivation of cocoa, coffee, tea, orchards, etc.). It became evident for us to develop the cultivation of hazelnuts and almonds in Lot-et-Garonne, ensuring the production of exceptional fruits. We also maintain several vineyard plots for the “Côte de Duras” appellation, known for its characterful wines. Today, with 400 hectares of hazelnut orchards, we have designed our shop to showcase hazelnuts in all their forms through our chocolates and a wide range of products (pâtés, beer, oil, flour, etc.), crafted in collaboration with local artisans. Discover and Taste Wild Herbs with All Five Senses! Two magical hours immersed in nature, awakening all your senses! I will guide you through the discovery of wild and edible plants growing on our hillsides. With over 60 plants identified, you’ll receive a botanical guidebook — available in digital or handwritten form — detailing the characteristics, properties, and uses of each plant. The visit ends with a tasting of wild plants, floral waters, and natural wines. The Maison des Vins de Duras was founded in 2002 to showcase the high-quality wines produced in the Duras region, located in Lot-et-Garonne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Our mission is to introduce the wines of Duras and promote the appellation. Our passionate and dedicated team works closely with local winemakers to select the best wines from Duras. We are proud to promote the traditional grape varieties and production methods of the appellation. Over the years, the Maison des Vins de Duras has become a must-visit place for wine enthusiasts. We regularly organize wine tastings and other events to allow visitors to discover the wines of Duras in a friendly and welcoming setting.

Accessible from age 3 and up, you’ll move through the trees on 18 courses with over 200 elements (monkey bridges, slides, skateboards...), including 2 zip lines over the lake. Expect about 3 hours of activities. All activities are supervised by trained instructors who have completed a certified high ropes course operator training, ensuring your safety and peace of mind. Permanent Exhibition: Ta'Nawa Museum – Arts of the Peoples of Black Africa From May 8 to September 30, 2025 Visit by reservation only Adults: €7 – Children under 12: €5 The Ta'Nawa Museum – Arts of the Peoples of Black Africa offers a guided presentation by Philippe Artidor on the theme of Black African cultures, showcasing ritual objects rooted in animist traditions. This unique venue invites visitors to discover objects made of stone, wood, plant materials, and terracotta, originating from the African continent and spanning a period of 1,000 years. All of these objects are linked to animist rituals practiced throughout Africa. They bear witness to the beliefs and spiritual practices once shared by all human societies—before the rise of polytheism and later monotheism. These objects are not sacred, but respected as tools, each serving a specific ritual purpose within the community.
